Median Green Logo

Our mission is to replant and beautify the public medians in Green Valley. Over the years, due to age, drought and neglect, our Pima County-owned medians have become barren and unsightly. The County’s budget allows for general maintenance, but not for replacement or enhancement. We believe that Green Valley residents deserve a community that looks attractive and reflects the pride we feel about our hometown.

MedianGreen is a non-profit 501(c) 3 corporation and is an all-volunteer effort. Under a license agreement with Pima County, MedianGreen has been granted the authority to do this replanting. There are 110 medians on the 14 miles of public roadways we plan to address over the upcoming years.

How is MEDIANGREEN funded?

MedianGreen is a non-profit, 501(c) 3 corporation meaning that your donations are tax deductible. Our funding comes from individual donations, grants, special events and sponsorships. We have a special program, Sponsor-A-Median, that allows organizations, businesses and individuals to pay the costs of replanting a median.

Grants have been received from the Green Valley Community Coordinating Council (GVCCC) and from the Freeport-McMoRan Copper and Gold Foundation.
